The Breede River, which is the largest river in South Africa with the longest estuary of 50 kilometers, empties into San Sebastian Bay, which is home to the largest whale sanctuary in the Southern hemisphere. Additionally it is renowned for its excellent river and sea fishing. Situated amongst some of the richest historical areas of the Cape of Good Hope and the Southern Cape coastal regions, the lodge offers both hotel accommodation of the highest standard through to family oriented independent holiday units. 

Come and enjoy our excellent dining facilities with the pleasure of a well stocked wine cellar, concentrating on the best vintages from exclusive wineries in the eastern Breede river valley. We are rated three star, but would like to feel that we offer five star service and dining facilities in our “Swirling Estuary” restaurant.  What do we specialize in? Well of course Seafoods, considering the owners background, from wholesome to the sophisticated, and then a cross section of Southern Cape traditional dishes.

CONFERENCING, including weddings, special functions and other forms of private catering.  The hotel has a practical and well equipped small conference/ special function facility that seats up to 50 delegates in a cinema or herringbone style layout, and 30-40 in a U-shape or schoolroom type layout. 

There is a smaller conference or function room that comfortably caters for up to 25 delegates or guests.  Both rooms are fitted with flip-charts, whiteboards, overhead projectors and screens, and TV/VHS/DVD/Data projectors. Secretarial, computer, fax, internet, etc facilities are available.  There are also teambuilding and excursion facilities available.
