Hog
Hollow Country Lodge & Private Nature Reserve - Plettenberg Bay, Garden
Route, South Africa
Hog Hollow
is a 4-star lodge set on the edge of an indigenous forest in a private
nature reserve with panoramic views of the surrounding indigenous forests,
valleys and mountains, in one of the most beautiful parts of Africa - the
Garden Route.
The Main
House forms a communal dining area surrounded by a long blue swimming pool
that visually flows into the valley below and a boma where nightly fires
are lit. Other attractions include a forest sauna and privately sited forest
shower with incredible views over the valley. Expect outstanding
cuisine, numerous activities to suit each guest's need, and truly memorable
hospitality from our team. |
|
|
For
the adventurous, the lodge is the perfect base from which to explore and
experience numerous adventure activities. We are renowned for our personalised
service and assist you with the planning and booking of daily excursions.
Hog
Hollow is well known for its delectable food. On crisp clear days farmhouse
breakfasts are served on the wooden deck overlooking the forest or near
the huge fireplace when it’s cooler. In the evenings, guests enjoy scrumptious
dinners around the communal table in the candle-lit atmosphere of the main
house.
|
Meals
are prepared using only the freshest of local produce. The set menu includes
a selection of main course of which fish, prawns and crayfish are daily
features. Guests with specific dietary requirements are catered for
individually. Children are catered for with special mealtimes and menus.
|
All
guests cars are washed daily with the compliments of Hog Hollow.
Hog Hollow welcomes children. We organise babysitting, special turn downs
with a glass of fresh milk and a Gingerbread Man, children's stories and
CDs, buckets and spades, boogie boards and cater for special menus and
meal times.
Please
note: we are set on the edge of a gorge so our landscape profile is very
steep. We also have unfenced dams and an unfenced pool on the premises,
so parents are kindly requested to accompany their children at all times
when around these areas. Hog Hollow is closed for the month of June.
However, we are open for reservations all year round! |
