Shaka’s
Seat offers luxury self-catering accommodation in Shaka's Rock on the KwaZulu-Natal
North Coast.
Come for
a special one-night stay, a relaxing weekend or your annual holiday. Shaka’s
Seat is situated against the side of a hill with stunning sea views, and
just three-minute stroll will take you to the Catfish Beach and lovely
tidal pools. We are also an easy 20-minute drive from King Shaka International
Airport.
Shaka’s
Seat offers seven beautiful self-catering suites, each comprising two bedrooms.
Come and enjoy a drink whilst relaxing on the private undercover wooden
decks and enjoying the stunning sea views or get refreshed with a dip in
the swimming pool which also overlooks the beach.

are plenty of barbecue decks to choose from and we are also within close
proximity to numerous good restaurants, takeaways, superette, and launderette.

Beach:
Located just a three-minute stroll to Catfish Beach and a one-minute drive
to Salt Rock Beach. Watch the dolphins, whales, and coast guard boat checking
the nets early each morning.

Beach
Cottage is a private cottage which is ideal for families with younger,
noisier children. The cottage does not have sea views and contains two
bedrooms, an en-suite bathroom, an offset kitchenette, and a lounge and
dining area that leads out through sliding doors to a private patio with
garden furniture and a built-in barbecue.

Beach
Suite is the largest of our upstairs suites and features a king-size bed
facing the sea and a sleeper couch in the lounge area for a child over
five years old. The separate kitchenette contains tables and chairs as
well as a bar counter and stools. The large glass sliding fold-up stack
doors lead out onto the private, covered wooden deck with wooden patio
furniture overlooking the sea.

Catfish Suite offers lovely views of the Catfish Reef and is furnished
in soft lime and cream décor. The suite features a king-size bed
and can also accommodate another single bed for a child over five years
old. The kitchenette is offset to one side and large glass sliding fold-up
stack doors lead out onto the private covered wooden deck with wooden patio
furniture.

Green Suite is a spacious end suite with lovely nearby beach and sea views,
including Catfish Reef right in front. The suite is decorated in very pretty,
cool green and cream décor and the kitchenette is offset to one
side. Large glass sliding fold-up stack doors, which provide maximum sea
views, lead out onto the private, covered wooden deck with wooden patio
furniture.

Seaspray Room is a large en-suite bedroom where you can lie in bed and
enjoy the sea views. This room has a real cosmopolitan feel to it, with
views of whitewashed buildings against the hillside. The large glass sliding

Shaka’s
Suite is the largest suite downstairs and enjoys stunning nearby sea views.
The suite contains two bedrooms, a sleeper couch, dining room, kitchenette
and lounge area that leads out through big glass sliding fold- up stack
doors onto a private undercover patio with barbecue facilities and easy
access to the swimming pool. The suite contains a separate bathroom with
a corner bath and double shower with separate toilet and washbasin, and
both bedrooms contain a TV.
